Finally found the right person in NY to talk to, even with no help from certain persons. First I talked to the very cool Dr. Scott who ironically enough is Scottish. He said all ought to be on track and to call the employment people, which meant another call to Tina. She told me that everything looked fine on their end and that I was approved (meaning drug test and background check came back clean) {does that mean I can murder some one now and still get a job?}. Anyway as far as she can tell its just a matter of budget and of some one getting to my name on the list so keep your fingers crossed for me. Once I do start working in NY this blog will probably get a little more interesting. I plan to mostly chronicle the life and times of a NYPD drug chemist, with pictures and information on interesting cases/court appearances. Sigh…Well Meg is on her way back home. It was a very nice/fun visit. I dragged her all over CT, as well as to VT and Mass. I introduced her to the wonders of fried cheese at Shady Glen and took her to see the fishes in Mystic. We had oodles of fun, and were together constantly for 10 days without ever wanting to kill each other, which if you ask me is a good sign. We did so much that it’s almost too much to write about so I wont try seeing as I’m no writer. Check Meg’s blog for more details, I know she’s posted some stuff already and will probably do more in the future. Well that’s it for me for now. Going to bed early I guess, am tired out from my uber fun week with Meg, and after spending a week sleeping till 10 or 11 getting up at 6 tomorrow to work at Omar again isn’t going to be fun so I bid you all goodnight!

We made today another lazy day here at my house. My stomach was bothering me last night so we both figured its just as well to take it easy today. Probably going to end up heading up to the mall or some such pointless thing tonight. Tomorow we decided instead of NY that we are going to hit Mystic and see the fish and such. Neither of us really feel that up to NY tomorow so we will save it for next time. On a unrelated note still no word from NY….figure I will give them a call this week after Meg leaves. Yah….a job would be good…..though having Meg here visiting is better so I’m going to pay attention to her now!

Took Meg up to Mass. yesterday. We went to Northampton to do some shoping and stuff and then were going to go to the Yankee candle store….but seeing as we were so far into Mass. already and that Meg has never been to Vermont before we drove the extra 20 min to the VT border just so she could say shes been there. Well after a short stop at the VT welcome center we headed back south and got to Yankee candle round about 5:50 pm…..guess what time they close???…..give up? Yah thats right…..6pm…..grrrr! Oh well….we may try again before she leaves. Today the family has left for their camping trip to the folk music fest. Nothing much planned for us today, gona take it easy and hang round here mostly, maybe hit the store for food and the like. Will be nice to take a day to rest actually.

Meg is here! Yippie!!! Been draging her all over CT. Book barn today was cool, I got a bunch of books….yes duh I know. Tomorow we are probably gona head up to Northampton and maybe the Yankee Candle store to do some shoping. Meg is adjusting to the CT life quite well for a southern girl. It’s not so bad after all….well atleast when I’m not draging her out into the woods. Anyway, tonight is 4 hours of Stargate on SciFi so we will be vegeing infront of the tv for some time. It’s so nice to have meg here….Im not going to want to let her go home in a week. Anyway….going to enjoy it while we can

More driving doing special deliveries again this week. Joy! Yesterday they sent me to VT which was extra fun. Blah. It’s not that I mind working exactly, it’s just that I would really rather not be delivering coffee is all. Oh well. Two more days and I’m done. But more importantly, three more days and Meg will be here! W00T! I plan to drag her all over CT and maybe even some other parts of New England. Yah…It’s gona be fun woo hoo!!!
Spending the week with the meg :) »« fun fun dinner…
Dinner last night was fun! Was nice just to get out for a change but was uber cool to get to see melissa and catch up and all that. Today is going to be less fun. Omar company picnic, which my dad has to go to and usually I can get out of having to go but seeing as im sorta working for them too now i guess i sorta have to go. Whee! Well atleast there will be free food and alcohol so its not a total loss.

Saw the pirate movie tonight…was about what you would expect. It was a movie….and there were pirates. Um yah. Work tomorrow, eh. But tomorrow night get to see/hang out with Melissa so woo hoo! for that

Well it looks like the log is working. On that note so am I…well sorta. Still no word from the NYPD, god willing they will call soon. But for the rest of this week and all of next week I am filling in at Omar Coffee Co. as a “specials driver”. Basically I get to drive all over the state doing special deliveries. It’s not so bad and I’m getting paid, which is a very, VERY good thing. Sure it sux to get lost but I’m getting better so it’s all good. Anyway….time to go see the pointless pirate movie…but at least its free…so whoo hoo!

Ok…it seems that I need something a little more advanced then wwwboard for my weblog. As much as I like wwwboard for being simple, small, and fast its just not really set up right to be a web log and for the amount of time and effort it would take to make it how I want it….well it only took me 5 minutes to set this one up so yah. Its greymatter…its free and open source so it rules . Saddly I will probably del all the old posts on my old log, all 3 of them so dont worry…you didnt miss much if your new here. Let me know what yah think. I will be playing with settings and stuff for a while still so give it some time!
