Stupid Snow

Here I am at work with less then an hour to go watching as it snows like hell outside. Whee! Stupid Snow. Can’t we like, control the weather yet? It should only snow on weekends when I don’t have to work. The real fun will be getting home in this mess, true I don’t have to drive but public transportation can suck in this weather too. This time around I am trying the bus, after having fun with frozen subway doors last time.

Work this week has been alright. Still nothing too exciting to report, had a few court alerts this week but they all fell through so I still have yet to testify. Though given the weather out there right now I am glad I’m not in Manhattan or some similar place in my suit and tie.

I think I have my web log working about the same as before the upgrade. I got my old template working right as far as I can tell finally and the test posts I have made all seem to work. So I will keep my fingers crossed for now :) As always be sure to let me know if anything doesn’t look right or work right and I will see what I can do. I very well may end up finding a new theme for the whole site soon anyway if I can come up with something I like.

Now that’s what I call a dead Parrot.

From theglobeandmail.com (seen linked off of boingboing.net). The Dead Parrot sketch turns real?

“An indignant Israeli is suing a pet shop that he says sold him a dying parrot, reports the Ma’ariv newspaper. Itzik Simowitz of the southern city of Beersheba contends the shop cheated him because the Galerita-type cockatoo not only failed to utter a word when he got it home, but was also extremely ill. Mr. Simowitz adds that the shop owner assured him the parrot was not ill but merely needed time to adjust to its new environment.”

Next up…killer rabbits and US troops using the Holy-Hand Grenade in Iraq!

Updating my weblog software and the old theme doesn’t work with the new code for some reason so until I fix it you get this default theme. Unless people like this one more or its too much a pain in the ass to fix the old one, in that case I’ll just leave it :)

another slow week

Yah so no updates in a while because its been slow. Just been working a good deal of OT, but no real interesting cases have come up. I did get to hang out with a friend of mine at JFK on Tuesday which was cool but then I had a nightmare of a time getting home because of the stupid J train. Bah!

The plan for this weekend is still sort of up in the air. I have to go home for a family function but as of today still have a court alert for tomorrow which I’m hoping will get canceled today so I can take Friday off and go home tomorrow morning. If not, well I will figure something out I guess.

Ohhh a shiny new toy from Google
….Google Maps. The resolution is good and the interface totally rocks. So far the address search could use a little work, its not very forgiving, but all in all my geekyness is quite impressed :)

Day Off

So I decided to treat my self to a day off today. Yay! I had the time and figured I would use it. Have no real plans other then to be a lazy bum and enjoy not being at work for the day.

Work it self has been alright this week, nothing overly exciting. Started a semi-long term but super easy overtime project that they expect to be something like 5 hours of OT a week for maybe as much as 22 weeks. So W00T! for that.

Nothing else of much excitement going on sad to say, going home in 2 weeks for a family thing and going to visit my friend Val which is cool.

Um…thats it for now I guess.
