I feel safer already

From this news story : “In one test, TSA inspectors hid the components of a fake bomb in carry-on luggage that also contained a bottle of water.”…”The screeners at Albany International confiscated the water bottle but missed the bomb. In all, the inspectors slipped four banned items through the main checkpoint during the test, sources said.”

Wow….thats all you can really say I guess. I mean…its a good thing they found that water. See the terrorist might of been thinking of assembling his bomb on the plane, but that would doubtless make one quite thirsty (bomb assembly is hard work) and with out a bottle of water to drink…well its really just not worth the effort!

Sigh.

They are robots…but in disguise!

This past weekend was nice and relaxed. Since it was a bit warm Saturday and only supposed to get warmer the next few days we put the AC back in. This time we tried an experiment and put it in the living room instead of the bedroom. It is working surprisingly well. We are keeping the bedroom and bathroom doors closed and I tacked a tarp up to try and close off the kitchen. The tarp actually really surprised me at how well it’s working to keep the cold in the living room. For a thin piece of plastic as a barrier, the kitchen is a good 10-15 degrees warmer then living room so it must be doing something.

Saturday we also went out to the movies again. This time we jumped on the band wagon and saw “Transformers”. I though it was good, for a mindless summer action movie. It also had more product placement shots then any other movie I have ever seen but these days what do you expect.

Back at work today, weekends are never long enough. Really have to try and go to the DMV this week I suppose, which I am dreading, because it’s such a fun experience. Oh well. Maybe I will get lucky and I will get in and out of there in under 2 or 3 hours (he says while knocking on wood and crossing his fingers).
