Damn this week went insanely fast. We didn’t do much this weekend, weather was crappy yesterday and we just ended up being lazy today. I did run out Saturday morning and get my self a new Wii game so I have been playing that some. Really exciting I know.
Should be a quiet work week. Have a pre-trial meeting with an ADA on a case that keeps getting a bit more involved each time I talk to the guy. So this should be interesting.
Out wedding is a month and 10 days away! I got my wedding sandals this week, they look nice. Sort of sucks that I will get to wear them for a few days down in FL before coming back to NY where October is most definitely NOT sandal weather.
Long weekend next week. No labor day plans as of yet. If the weather is nice I would LIKE to try and get out somewhere, be it the park or maybe one of the state parks out on Long Island. Chelsea had a good book on Long Island parks and I saw a few nice looking places to check out.

Sunday night already! Where does the weekend go?
Saturday we went up to LI to see my sister for her birthday. We went out to a movie and then lunch with her, her BF, and his sister/brother in law. After we were going to hit my co-workers BBQ but by the time we were leaving my sisters it was already late and we weren’t really feeling up to it.
Today we just took it easy. Shopping and laundry and the like. Very exciting I know. I did get find a few new recipes to try and tonight made a whole roast chicken from scratch for the first time. Came out really good, though the gravy needed work.
We got our wedding rings delivered Friday. We both got titanium rings and they look really nice. They are also really light, the wonders of titanium.
Another week… »« Feeling culinary
Was feeling culinary today. Made up another batch of home made gnocchi. The use of the potato ricer I bought yesterday REALLY made the whole process much easier. I also got some extra virgin olive oil which should be a bit better in them then the vegetable oil I used last time. After that was done I decided a desert was needed so I did a quick search and found this recipe for “tipsy peaches” I used dark rum instead of whiskey and made up some Bisquick biscuits to pour it over. All we are missing is some whipped cream but I think it will be just as good with out.
Some days I think I should of been a chef instead of a forensic scientist. Though “Cooking with CSI” would be one interesting Food Network show!
