Nice day off

Took today off. Been working a lot of OT the last two weeks and figured I needed a break. Went into the city and did a little shopping. Had a book store gift card to use up (got a classic scifi “Lord of Light” by Zelazny, and a nifty sounding book about the history of pirates “Under the Black Flag“). Also picked up a few DVD’s I have been wanting (Family Guy Volume 3 and The Adventures of Pete and Pete season 2). Also just wandered around a bit enjoying the really nice weather we had today, it reached 60° here today! Hello global warming!

Work actually called while I was in the city, guess it was a wee bit busy there today so they were looking for extra volunteers to come in Saturday. I declined, I’m working next Saturday so I really didn’t want to come in this one.

On an unrelated note I used my ITunes Christmas gift card to download two albums by “The Brobdingnagian Bards” They are great. They are a bit like “They Might Be Giants” if They Might Be Giants were Irish and went to a lot of Renaissance Faires. Good Stuff!
